Meet Rosebud, the Santa who sits on my lap. Rosie B, as we affectionately call her, came into our lives two holiday seasons ago. We stopped into the local pet shop a few days after Christmas, and immediately fell in love with her. Well, the kids and I did anyway. Their dad was a tougher sell. Strangely enough, he is now the one most attached to RB and proudly walks her through the neighborhood in her pink argyle sweater. Yes, it’s true we’re those people: We dress our dog. Disclaimer: She only wears holiday-specific or cold weather attire. That makes it OK, right?
Rosebud would love to know what you want for Christmas. She doesn’t care if you’ve been naughty or nice; she’ll sit on your lap either way.
I’m linking up with the awesome GFunkified and Mamamash again this week for iPPP. Click on the link below to join us for some iPhone photo phun.
How cute is Rosebud. How could you resist her? We have friends who walked into a pet store and came home with two bitty shih tzus. She laughs that they were going in there for a water bottle for the gerbil.
That’s hilarious! I can totally see it happening with my bunch. Every time we go for crickets for my son’s gecko, they think they can talk me into another puppy.
I don’t know a lot about dogs, but I think I heard that you have to dress up little dogs like that when it’s cold, because they get sick otherwise 😉
What a little cutie!
Exactly, Kerstin. She’s too small to generate body heat, or at least that’s my theory.
He’s darling! And I love that she doesn’t care how we’ve been this year. My husband was the same with our second lab. Called her always someone else’s dog but he’s the most attached. Always cracks me up seeing little dogs being walked.
Isn’t it funny? My husband’s friends give him so much crap about having a little dog.
Hahha- and RB really does remind me of Muffin. She suits you. What do I want? I want to sleep through the night again on a regular basis. Is that too much to ask for? Thought so.
Some day, mama. Some day. And then they will be teenagers driving and you’ll be up all night worrying about them. Sigh.
Oh, she looks snuggly! We had a chihuahua once who had to wear sweaters when we moved to KC because she was a southern dog with no clue how to keep warm in the snow. Poor thing, she hated it here.
See, everyone. Little dogs need the warmth of a sweater. Julie gets it!
She is quite an elegant little woman. We used to have a pug that got cold in the snow, so of course, she had to wear sweaters. Rosebud, I would like gift cards and a tv stand for Christmas. (I’ve been pretty nice, fyi.)
Also, men are suckers for the little darlings. 😉
Rosebud is contacting the elves as we speak because we’re both sure you’ve been all sorts of nice this year.
SO ADORABLE. Love dog sweaters. Love them. Unabashedly. Happy Christmas Rosebud!!
Thanks for the support. I swore up and down I’d NEVER dress up a pet. Never say never.
How cute is that?! I want a dog like that someday. Right now we just have cats. No way you can dress up a cat without getting smothered by something furry in your sleep.
Haha! Is that anything like giving a cat a bath? My post-college roommate, a cat person, tried to get me (a dog person) to give our cat a bath once. Thankfully, I didn’t fall for it.
